Similar to the spring semester, courses are divided into foundational composition skills, advanced , literature studies with a focus on diverse perspectives and pre-1800 classics. workshops continue to offer opportunities in various genres.
Courses may vary by session:
Maymester: 5-week intensive program focusing on advanced topics.
First SessionSecond Session: Standard semester format covering literature, composition, and with more flexibility for scheduling.
Winter courses typically include electives in English literature, additional composition classes tlored to different majors' requirements, workshops that may be offered intermittently based on faculty avlability, and advanced seminars including honors courses.
Course Requirements for Majors
Pre-1800 Literature: 3-6 credit hours required.
Diverse Perspectives: Similar requirement as Pre-1800 literature.
